Â鶹´«Ã½ is top 50 in the world for social sciences in latest subject rankings

The Â鶹´«Ã½ of Sussex is now among the top 50 universities in the world for social sciences, according to the latest Times Higher Education rankings.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ has moved up 14 places to 40th position in the global rankings for the subject.
It is one of five significant moves up the prestigious rankings for the Â鶹´«Ã½ in a range of subjects which also sees Psychology soar 15 places up to 74.
Physical Sciences and Life Sciences have also made significant progress compared to last year’s positions alongside Clinical, Pre-Clinical and Health at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Â鶹´«Ã½ schools performed particularly well for Citations and International Outlook in many of the subjects.
Physical Sciences was ranked 2nd out of 1,055 and Clinical, Pre-Clinical & Health sat 7th out of 775 while Arts and Humanities saw the biggest overall improvement rising up 109 places to 61.
The 2020 THE subject rankings use 13 performance indicators under five core pillars: Teaching, Research, Citations, International Outlook and Industry Income.
