Curriculum Development
Curriculum development is the process by which the Â鶹´«Ã½ assures the quality of the courses that it offers to students. The Â鶹´«Ã½ achieves this by allowing changes to courses to ensure that the content is updated to reflect current academic knowledge and practice, and also by ensuring that course structures provide the best learning experiences possible for students. Course and module convenors are able to propose changes for consideration at their Faculty Education Committee (FEC). Please refer to the Curriculum Development Handbook 2024/25 [DOCX 162.68KB] for details of the processes for approving all types of curriculum change (including creation or withdrawl of courses).
The following curriculum changes should be considered at FECs:
- Changes to course or pathway structures
- Changes to course or module level learning outcomes
- Addition of new modules to courses
- Suspension or withdrawal of modules
- Changes to module titles
- Changes to assessment modes
- Changes to assessment weightings
The forms provided below should be used to submit proposals to FEC:
