Join the Big Biodiversity Conversation events on 28 April

We’re bringing the Sussex community together to improve the biodiversity of our campus. Can you help?
You are invited to on Thursday 28 April 2022 at the Â鶹´«Ã½ of Sussex Conference Centre, chaired by the Provost, Rachel Mills, and hosted by the Sustainability Team and the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme (SSRP). There will also be a networking food and drinks reception between the events. You are welcome to attend, one, two or all three of the events.
This programme forms the Â鶹´«Ã½ of Sussex flagship engagement initiative for achieving local biodiversity net gain as we work towards our strategic aim of being one of the most sustainable universities in the world.
Part 1: Join our Big Biodiversity Workshop 2.00pm-5.00pm
Join Sussex Staff, Students and Stakeholders in an interactive workshop, where our community can come together to vote for their favourite , form teams to lead them and seek seed corn funding from our Race for the Planet campaign and other sources to support their implementation.
Part 2: Networking Reception 5.00pm-6.00pm (Drinks and plant-based food will be served)
Network over drinks and refreshments with fellow event participants. Form new connections and build your community.
Part 3: Stop the Mass Extinction: Speaker Event 6.00pm-7.30pm
Join our Provost, Professor Rachel Mills, as she introduces four fantastic speakers from our Â鶹´«Ã½ and beyond. Hear the speakers give their views on how we can stop the sixth mass extinction and join a lively question and answer session on this important topic.
Further networking and drinks will be available after the event until 8.30pm
