New Research Integrity Training

As part of the Â鶹´«Ã½’s ongoing commitment to The Concordat to Support Research Integrity, the UK’s leading framework to promote good research conduct, the Research Ethics, Integrity, and Governance Team have developed mandatory training for Research Integrity.
The training is hosted on LearnUpon and the content includes:
- The difference between Ethics, Integrity, and Governance.
- Researchers’ responsibilities to their colleagues, the Â鶹´«Ã½, and the wider society.
- Why research integrity is important now.
- Academic freedom and research integrity.
- Open research.
- Research misconduct and breaches of good research practice.
- Procedure for investigating and resolving allegations of research misconduct.
- The national and international landscapes.
- UK Policy and the Concordat to Support Research Integrity.
- International initiatives.
- The Research Ethics, Integrity and Governance team in Research and Innovation, and how we support good research practice.
- Library resources on open publishing, research data, and using responsible metrics.
- Research Culture and the Enabling Plan.
The training is mandatory for all researchers and has been designed in consultation with Organisational Development and an academic working group, including the Chair of the Research Ethics and Integrity Sub-Committee and the Chair of the Health and Social Care Sponsorship Sub-Committee.
