Sussex Alumni Scholarship (2025)
Sussex offers unlimited £3,000 fee waivers for previous Sussex students choosing to return to study a Masters degree.

Eligibility
Who is eligible
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have either:
Graduated from Sussex with a Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree
Previously completed a Sussex Summer School programme
Previously attended the Â鶹´«Ã½ as a Visiting or Exchange student
Applicants must have also accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters course to start in September 2025.
Who isn’t eligible
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
Are applying for a Masters at a university that is not at the Â鶹´«Ã½ of Sussex
Are progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
Studied at one of our partner institutions (i.e. BIMM or International Study Centre)
Studied at a UK Â鶹´«Ã½’s overseas campus or external programme
Already hold another Â鶹´«Ã½ of Sussex scholarship (i.e. Chancellor's Masters Scholarship)
Are studying one of the Excluded courses listed below.
Excluded courses
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
Courses at IDS
Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
Online courses
Schools direct teaching courses
Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

How to apply
The scholarship is applied automatically if you meet the eligibility criteria. If this changes at any time, the scholarship will be removed. Confirmation of the scholarship will be sent by email after you receive an offer of a place to study at Sussex.
If you require a Student Visa to study at Sussex, information about the scholarship will be included in your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies). If the scholarship information is not showing on your CAS, please contact the Admissions Office: pg.applicants@sussex.ac.uk .

The scholarship is subject to the following:
Applicants must have accepted an offer to study an eligible Masters course in 2025
Applicants must have also met any conditions of their university offer
Applicants who are awarded another Â鶹´«Ã½ of Sussex scholarship will no longer be eligible for the Sussex Alumni Scholarship
Applicants must have sufficient funds to cover the balance of academic and living expenses
Applicants may be invited by the Â鶹´«Ã½ to assist with promotion (to a maximum of 40 hours per year)
