Political Economy Perspectives on Development (947M9)
30 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
Autumn teaching
On this module, you will start to ‘think politically’ about major development issues.
You'll think more comprehensively about the ways in which politics (the pursuit of power and the institutions through which its organised) affects public policies in the development field.
There's an emphasis on questions of governance. For example, the challenge of making the world a better place by producing the collective goods and services that people cannot provide individually or access through markets.
