Independent Study/Internship Option (L2021)

Spring teaching

On this module, you’ll carry out an independent research project with guidance from a project tutor. To enrol, you’ll need to produce a project outline by the end of your second year, which must be approved by the module convenor.

Your project can be linked to an internship in a workplace, such as a local authority or Westminster, providing practical experience alongside academic research.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 300 hours of independent study. The Â鶹´«Ã½ may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
